SOCIAL MEDIA: ABOMINATION OR FELICITY TO THE SOCIETY?

Abstract

This paper will be encompassing the psychology of society in reference to what we see, observe and experience on social media platforms. This paper consists not only of personal experiences and experiments, but also the experiments conducted by psychologists on society on a large amount. Social media plays an important role in the lives of the people, be it personal or professional, on one hand, widens the scope of the perspective of the people but on the other hand, it influences them in ways that can’t be explained. In this paper, I will further discuss the details regarding social media and society, and the psychology that was followed in the pre-social media era. We have observed that people these days are vulnerable and fragile psychologically and influencing them and manipulating them is easy, therefore this paper will try to focus more on the people and shed light on what social media is.

Use and abuse are the laws of nature, anything made for any purpose can have both positive and negative aspects, merging both the aspects with their scope, we might find the way how social media holds the power on the minds of people explicitly.
