About the Journal

The *Machine Intelligence Research* journal, previously known as the *International Journal of Automation and Computing*, is published by Springer in collaboration with the Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The journal focuses on publishing high-quality research papers, both theoretical and experimental, and places an emphasis on special issues related to emerging topics. Its primary goal is to bridge the gap between theoretical research and its practical applications.

The *Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences (JMES)* is an international, peer-reviewed, platinum open-access journal published by the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology. It ensures that all its content is freely accessible without any cost to users or institutions, allowing for unrestricted reading, downloading, copying, distribution, printing, searching, and linking to the full texts of articles. This can be done for any lawful purpose, provided proper acknowledgment is given to the original authors, without the need for prior permission from either the authors or the publisher.

The journal covers a broad range of topics at the intersection of mechanical engineering and materials science. It publishes original research articles on subjects such as analytical and computational modeling, structural mechanics, metal forming, the behavior and application of advanced materials, impact mechanics, strain localization, fluid mechanics, robotics, tribology, thermodynamics, and materials processing. Additionally, the journal encourages the submission of review articles that address significant challenges in the field, minimize knowledge gaps, provide valuable guidance, or offer clear direction to readers.
