FACTORS INFLUENCING THE TIMELINESS OF EMERGENCY RESCUE AND EMERGENCY WORK IN THE AFTERMATH OF EARTHQUAKES
Abstract
Annotation: The article highlights and examines the factors that influence the effectiveness of emergency rescue and emergency work in the aftermath of earthquakes. Most of the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located in an earthquake-prone region. Up to 100,000 earthquakes occur annually in the world, but most of them are weak, they are recorded using high-precision instruments - seismographs. In Almaty and the Almaty region, seismographs record up to 400 tremors of the earth's surface annually. The echoes of the earthquake that occurred on January 23, 2024 exposed serious problems in terms of early detection and notification of the population. Carrying out emergency rescue and emergency work in the aftermath of earthquakes in the shortest possible time will increase the likelihood of rescuing victims. In this regard, the authors consider groups of factors that affect the timeliness of emergency rescue and emergency work in the event of devastating earthquakes in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
