THE SIGNIFICANCE OF CLASSICAL DANCE STYLE: AN IN-DEPTH EXPLORATION- A REVIEW
Abstract
This research paper examines and analyzes various classical dance forms, including Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, and Sattriya. Each dance form is explored in terms of its historical origins, unique characteristics, aesthetic elements, storytelling techniques, and cultural significance. The study highlights the diverse styles, movements, gestures, and costumes employed in these dance forms, along with their connections to mythology, spirituality, and regional traditions. Through an in-depth analysis, this research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the richness and diversity of classical dances in India, showcasing their artistic expressions and their enduring impact on cultural heritage.
