APPLICATION OF PERMANENT MAGNET DC DRIVES FOR PAPER AND PULP MILLS

Abstract

The aim of this work is to improve the tracking performance of Permanent Magnet Direct Current (PMDC) motors by exploring the features of Fuzzy Logic Controller. The Fuzzy Logic Controller enhances the performance and dynamics of the D.C motor in comparison to conventional PI controller. The simulations are carried out with MATLAB Simulink. The Fuzzy based PMDC Drive is suitable for vast number of industries like paper mills, Pulp mills, Textile mills etc.,
